We traveled up north to visit my sister and her family for Thanksgiving. She had something like 42 people at her house, half of which were kids. She pulled it off in spectacular fashion and I was happy to help. Because of the busyness of the day we only got this funny shot of Simon modeling a paper pilgrim's bonnet I had made.
Both kids loved playing with their cousins and enjoying the festivities. A few memories for them of the day:
- Simon pitched a fit at dinner because it was nap time and he was so not happy that we wouldn't give him any more Martinelli's sparkling cider, or as he calls it "apple soda."
- Piper refused to be in any photos so unless Nan has some we are essentially picture-less.
- We sat with all of the kids because there were no seat assignments and I told Rick to pick any table. Little did we know that all the other adults had chosen to sit in the other room. It was just fine though as we practically had a table all to ourselves for the meal.
Here was Piper's kindergarten feast at school. I think she may have just eaten the cornbread and not the pumpkin pie. She's sitting next to her best friend Jazmin.
