Splendor in the Grass

Here's Simon sitting on the grass for the first time.  He kept trying to eat it.  He's such a fun guy, and so happy.

Soccer

We signed Piper up for an indoor soccer class.  She is loving it and even scored a goal at class last week.  Way to go Superstar!

Fun with Grandma

My mom came to visit us for a few days before embarking on a roadtrip with her sisters.  We tried to soak up every moment.  I sure miss having her here.  Piper was particularly upset by Grandma leaving.  Piper asked her point blank, "who's going to take care of me when you're gone?"  Apparently I'm not fun enough to take care of her.  I have to agree that Grandma is loads of fun.  Simon sure loved her too.

Zoo Trip with Grandma

Grandma Vicki came for a visit so we took her to the zoo.  She was very impressed with our zoo.  Piper had her adventure notebook with her so she paused a few times to draw the animals.

Zoo with Simon - Take 2

Simon had been to the zoo with us once before but he slept most of the time on his first visit.  This visit was great.  It was a scorcher of a day so we pulled out the sun hats.
