While in L.A. we went to breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel (incidentally that's where they held the Golden Globes). We ate in the basement at this cool retro diner with this curvy bar. It's a bit on the pricey side but excellent food and great service. Who should be sitting not four seats from us when we sat down? Courteney Cox! We didn't recognize her at first in street clothes and without makeup. She was soon joined by Ben Harper; he's a musician and is married to Laura Dern. Coincidentally I saw him with his wife and kids two years ago at California Adventures. What a nice celebrity sighting!

Is Courtney about the size of a small child? She looks like she must be TINY in person.
She didn't strike me as being particularly tiny though she was seated the whole time we were there so it's a little hard to say. She was, however, quite fetching, even without makeup.
I love, LOVE! the celebrity sighting. That is something I miss about NYC. When I was there in September, we sat next to Mary Louise Parker at Grimaldi's. She's on the tall-side, but quite thin. She got mad at these two middle-eastern tourists who took a picture of her and her daughter.
