Smiles for Sophie Forever

On Saturday Piper and I went to a carnival at a local church. It was a benefit to Smiles for Sophie Forever which deals with pediatric brain cancer. We had such a fun time together. Piper rode a pony, got her face painted, ate pizza and cotton candy, got a giraffe balloon animal, made a Fruit Loops necklace, saw an animal show, climbed on hay stacks, and did tons of crafts including fingerpainting, stick puppets, and a tissue paper stained glass windows.

This is Piper riding Pebbles. She loved it and wasn't scared at all.

Piper as a tiger. Roar!

This is Piper's tissue paper stained glass window.

Hudson and Holden got to ride ponies today at Gardner Village. I've been feeling really bored lately. I need to get more creative and crafty like you. It's funny because Holden brings up Piper out of the blue. "Are we going to see Piper?" Hudson always thinks it's a good idea and I tell them that she lives far away in Ohio and that plane tickets cost a lot. If only that were not the case, we would be stopping by tomorrow.

That looks like so much fun, Piper is so cute with the face paint. The art class would be awesome to do, you are such a great mom Misti.

I love fall carnivals - the weather is usually perfect for sweaters, but not cold enough to stay indoors. Piper looks like she had a great time on the pony!
